Changers is a youth theater play based on the book series of the same name and addresses significant questions of growing up. At its core are identity, transformation, and the transition into adulthood. The staging invites the audience to reconsider familiar notions of personality, change, and self-discovery from a unique theatrical perspective.
The performance takes place in the Studio of the Theater Lübeck. The studio area provides an appropriate setting for a play that deals with personal developments and the challenges of growing up. The audience experiences a story in which change is not only an external motive but is closely linked to the question of who one wants to be.
A Youth Play about Identity and Change
Those interested in modern youth theater, literary themes, and stories about self-discovery will find a thematically diverse theater evening in Changers. The adaptation is based on a book series and is aimed at visitors aged 15 and older. Thus, the production particularly addresses teenagers and young adults, as well as anyone interested in the themes of identity and coming of age.
The performance at the Theater Lübeck offers the opportunity to experience the material live together and to further contemplate the questions posed by the play afterwards. The focus is not only on spectacular transformations but also on the emotional and personal aspects of change. This makes Changers an interesting program point for teenagers, school classes, families with older teenagers, and theater enthusiasts.
