Kurt Cobain, Nirvana, and the Feelings of a Generation

Come As You Are is musically dedicated to Kurt Cobain, Nirvana, and a whole generation of fans. The play traces a music and a time that for many people was much more than just a soundtrack. It focuses equally on the artists, the band, and the audience: Kurt Cobain as a formative figure, Nirvana as a defining formation, and the fans as part of a generation that found itself in this music.

The performance can be experienced at the Theater Lübeck and starts at 8:00 PM. It will be held in the Kammerspiele, an interior space of the Lübeck Theater. The format combines theater and music and approaches its theme explicitly musically. Anyone interested in Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, or the cultural impact of the band will find an opportunity to view this music and its significance from a theatrical perspective.

Musical Traces of a Generation

The title Come As You Are refers to a well-known Nirvana song and simultaneously opens the view to the different experiences of the fans. The piece addresses not only a single band but a whole generation and its relationship to music. Therefore, the event is aimed at long-time Nirvana fans as well as visitors who want to get to know Kurt Cobain and the band from a different perspective.

The performance will take place on November 5, 2026. Before attending, it is advisable to check the latest information from the Theater Lübeck about tickets, prices, and possible organizational notes directly on the production page. Since the event takes place in the Kammerspiele, it can be experienced independently of the weather in a protected indoor space. The evening at the theater in Lübeck offers Come As You Are as a musical engagement with Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, and the feelings of their fans.
