Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake meets modern ballet and live music

„Swan Lake – Beyond the Stage“ brings one of the most famous works of ballet history to Lübeck-Travemünde. The performance combines the renowned music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with modern ballet and a special live musical ensemble.

At its core is the connection between tradition and contemporary interpretation. Tchaikovsky’s composition meets modern movement language, thereby opening up a new perspective on the familiar world of Swan Lake. The production is aimed at all those who appreciate classical ballet while being open to modern artistic forms.

Experience music and dance live

A live string quartet accompanies the performance, making the musical dimension immediately tangible. The live-played strings provide a special emphasis and create a concentrated stage atmosphere in collaboration with the ballet. This results in an evening where music, movement, and stage presence are closely intertwined.

The venue is the hall of the Maritim Strandhotel in Lübeck-Travemünde. The performance thus takes place in a covered indoor space and can be experienced regardless of the weather. The location on the Travemünde coast combines the cultural evening with the unique ambiance of the seaside resort.
